The built environment is facing a great challenge by digital disruption. To survive and thrive in the future, the entire sector will need to consider new ways of doing things. That is why the government is rolling out the Construction Industry Transformation Map (ITM) to help companies involved in the construction value chain to transform and prepare for these challenges. The goal is to raise producitivity, help workers to gain new skills and assisting companies to tap on new areas of growth.

This Symposium aims to encourage the adoption of Integrated BIM to make the quantam leap. Invited speakers with actual experience in implementing Integrated BIM methodology will share their success factors reaped, challenges and pitfalls that they encountered. It is a full-day conference alongisde an exhibition where BIM vendors and solution providers will demonstrate their latest capabilities on how to leverage BIM to realise our built environment more appropriately and efficiently, improving construction quality and efficiencies.

Two parallel tracks on Computational BIM and Project Management using BIM are available to guide participants to better understand how these techniques can be applied in your daily work to improve performance.

Computational BIM is a new parametric design methodology that will revolutionise the way buildings can be designed with innovative and iconic features. Learn why computation BIM is important and gain an understanding of how to use such tools to create iconic features effectively from exports who are skilled in applying computational BIM in their design approach.

Project Management using BIM is a workshop designed to provide project managers involved in the design and construction phases with an appreciation of the role of BIM can play to manage the project more effectively. Learn how BIM projects can be managed to achieve the desired outcomes with appropriate PM tools and methodology. Understand how to apply these BIM PM capabilities to handle design, contract and dispute matters effectively.
